Ani – The Forgotten City

Ani, often called The Forgotten City, is one of the most atmospheric archaeological sites in the Caucasus and a highlight for travelers interested in medieval history. The city was the capital of the Armenian Bagratid Kingdom in the 10th century and a key hub on the Silk Road, where trade caravans connected Anatolia, Persia, and the Caucasus.
