About Jasná – Eastern Europe's Ski Gem - Jasná, Low Tatras, Slovakia
Jasná is centrally located in the Low Tatras Mountains and is recognized as Slovakia's most versatile and modern ski resort. The ski area spans both sides of Mount Chopok at an altitude of 2,024 meters, offering skiers access to long, interconnected slopes with significant elevation differences and panoramic views of the mountain ranges. With multiple exposures on the mountain, Jasná ensures excellent snow conditions and diverse skiing throughout the season. The destination has gained international status for its robust freeride scene, where steep couloirs, open slopes, and natural terrain attract experienced skiers and host international freeride competitions. At the same time, Jasná is well-suited for families and less experienced skiers, featuring wide boulevard slopes, children's areas, and an efficient, modern lift system with high capacity. After skiing, the area offers a unique combination of mountain nature and relaxation, where wellness hotels and nearby thermal spas provide saunas, heated outdoor pools, and rejuvenating treatments. Jasná combines alpine skiing, top-class freeriding, and Eastern European wellness in one integrated ski area, making it an attractive alternative to the Alps.
