Jiuzhaigou Valley

Jiuzhaigou Valley in Sichuan Province is a UNESCO-protected natural area known for its extraordinary concentration of crystal-clear, multi-colored alpine lakes and dramatic mountain landscapes. The lakes are formed by natural limestone dams and display layers of turquoise, emerald green, and deep blue, with colors constantly shifting depending on the angle of the sun, water depth, and season.
