Kronplatz

Kronplatz, also known as Plan de Corones, is one of South Tyrol's most iconic mountains and among the most modern ski areas in the Alps. With its standalone position above the Puster Valley, the mountain offers open, sunny summit runs that gently descend from an elevation of 2,275 meters down to valleys and alpine towns like Brunico, Valdaora, and San Vigilio. The wide slopes are renowned for their excellent grooming, making the area ideal for both comfort-oriented skiers and seasoned alpine enthusiasts seeking long, uninterrupted descents. At the summit, unique cultural experiences await: the Messner Mountain Museum Corones, designed by Zaha Hadid, tells the story of alpinism, while LUMEN – Museum of Mountain Photography provides a visual exploration of the mountains' significance.
