Les Arcs

Les Arcs is a prominent mountain resort in Savoie in the French Alps and an integral part of Paradiski, which connects Les Arcs with La Plagne via the iconic Vanoise Express cable car. The area ranges from 1,200 to 3,226 meters in elevation and offers a rare variety of terrain and landscape – from forested slopes and natural valleys to high-altitude alpine areas above the tree line. The crown jewel is Aiguille Rouge, where a 7 km descent takes you from glacial terrain down to Villaroger. Les Arcs is known for its wide, well-groomed slopes, technically challenging off-piste, and north-facing slopes that ensure good snow conditions throughout the season. The car-free villages of Arc 1600, 1800, 1950, and 2000 are interconnected by lifts and free shuttles and stand out architecturally with modern, functional designs inspired by the mountain landscape. In summer, the area transforms and attracts hikers, trail and downhill mountain bikers, as well as paragliders who take advantage of the stable thermal conditions and dramatic altitude differences. Les Arcs is therefore not just a ski destination but a fully-fledged alpine area with a clear identity year-round.
