Les Arcs

Les Arcs is one of the most distinctive ski resorts in the French Alps, standing out with its high elevation between 1,600 and 3,226 meters, ensuring an exceptionally snow-secure season from early winter to spring. The resort is a central part of the Paradiski area, offering direct access to over 425 km of interconnected slopes via the iconic Vanoise Express cable car that links Les Arcs to La Plagne. A definite highlight is Aiguille Rouge, where skiers are rewarded with stunning views of Mont Blanc massif and can descend all the way to Villaroger on one of the Alps' longest, continuous runs with significant elevation change. Les Arcs is particularly renowned for its challenging off-piste areas and natural terrain that attract advanced skiers, while the area also offers wide, well-groomed slopes and family-friendly zones, making it suitable for all levels. The car-free villages Arc 1600, 1800, 1950, and 2000 are characterized by functional, modernist architecture with direct ski-in/ski-out access, efficient lift connectivity, and a relaxed atmosphere focused on skiing, nature, and scenery rather than mass tourism.
