Plitvice Lakes – Waterfalls and Turquoise Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park is Croatia's most famous natural area and a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its unique system of 16 terraced lakes connected by over 90 waterfalls. The color of the lakes constantly shifts between emerald green, azure blue, and deep turquoise, depending on sunlight, water minerals, and microorganisms.
