Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park is Croatia's oldest and most iconic national park, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its unique system of 16 terraced, turquoise-blue lakes. The lakes are naturally connected by more than 90 waterfalls and cascades, formed over millennia by the deposition of travertine, which continuously shapes the landscape. The park's well-maintained wooden boardwalks take visitors close to the water, allowing them to walk directly across the lakes and along thundering falls without disturbing nature.
