Plitvice Lakes

Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of Europe's most spectacular natural areas and Croatia's oldest national park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park's unique landscape consists of 16 limestone lakes in natural terraces, interconnected through over 90 waterfalls, forming a constantly flowing aquatic system. The characteristic wooden walkways guide visitors directly across lakes and streams, allowing close-up experiences of crystal-clear waters and revealing how the colors shift from turquoise and emerald green to deep blue depending on sunlight, minerals, and the season. An electric boat ride across the larger lakes offers serenity and a different perspective on the waterfalls and the densely wooded areas of beech and fir trees.
