Rwenzori Mountains

The Rwenzori Mountains, known as Africa's Mountains of the Moon, are one of the continent's most spectacular and least visited mountain areas. Located along the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the rugged peaks soar dramatically to over 5,000 meters, including Mount Stanley with Margherita Peak. Despite their equatorial location, the upper parts are covered in snow and glaciers, creating a rare contrast with the humid rainforests below.
