Saas-Fee

Saas-Fee, known as the 'Pearl of the Alps,' is situated at an altitude of over 1,800 meters in the upper Saas Valley in the canton of Valais. It is surrounded by a dramatic alpine landscape with more than 13 peaks over 4,000 meters, including the Dom, Alphubel, and Allalinhorn. The destination is particularly renowned for its glacier pistes on Mittelallalin, where skiing is possible almost year-round thanks to stable snow conditions and high elevation. One of the area's most unique highlights is the spectacular ice grotto in Mittelallalin, where visitors can explore the fascinating blue ice formations deep inside the glacier. Saas-Fee is a car-free town, creating a tranquil and authentic atmosphere characterized by traditional wooden chalets, narrow streets, and stunning views of snow-covered peaks.
