Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier is one of the highest ski areas in the French Southern Alps, spanning over 250 km of connected slopes between Briançon and Le Monêtier-les-Bains. The area is renowned for its exceptionally sunny location combined with stable snow, offering long ski days with good light and clear views. One of Serre Chevalier's main strengths is its excellent tree skiing, featuring wide natural forest slopes that provide shelter from the wind and maintain snow quality even in challenging weather. Le Monêtier-les-Bains adds a unique dimension with its natural thermal baths, allowing visitors to soak in warm spring water while surrounded by snow-capped peaks—an uncommon combination in the Alps. The villages of Briançon, Chantemerle, and Villeneuve each offer unique character, from historic UNESCO-listed fortresses to local markets and authentic alpine restaurants.
